Belt

A belt is a flexible belt or belt, usually made of leather or thick cloth and worn around the waist. Its circumference is usually shorter than the buttocks below. Belts are used to secure or support clothing, such as trousers or other clothing, in a manner similar to suspenders and garters. Some pants have a belt loop at the waist through which the belt passes. Belts can be used for many purposes, but they are often used as fashion accessories, with a variety of colors, styles and finishes. In the heavy metal subculture, bullet belts and pin ribbons are worn. The small bag with wallet, leather case, scabbard, INR ō s and other items has been placed on the belt instead of the belt.

Belts are usually fixed with some type of metal buckle, ranging from simple monochrome finishes to elaborately decorated belt plates decorated with embossed or light relief images or colored logos. Although the belt can be adjusted to fit the waist circumference of a person, the length of the belt varies with the size of the waist. Belts are usually designed for men's or women's fashion use, although some casual belts are unisex. Due to the size limitation of the belt ring, any belt designed for the belt ring should not be too wide. However, the belt can be wider for the round belt which is designed to be worn on the dress. Some wide belts are called "waistline", and the appearance and function of the corset overlap with it.

Since the bronze age, belts have been recorded as men's clothing. Both men and women use them according to fashion trends. In the western world, belts are more common among men, except in the early Middle Ages, Mantua in the late 17th century, and skirt / shirt combinations from 1901 to 1910. The new art style belt buckle has now become a collector's handbag.

In the second half of the 19th century, until World War I, the conveyor belt was the decorative and utilitarian part of military uniforms, especially among officers. In the armed forces of Prussia, Czarist Russia and other Eastern European countries, officers usually wear very tight clothes, press them on their stomachs, and then drum them up. The wide waist belt outside the uniform can support the sabre for aesthetic reasons. These tight waistbands attract the waist, making the wearer slim, with wide shoulders and a chest. Belts are usually used only to emphasize waistlines, which are bound by corsets in uniform, which were particularly common during the Crimean War, and soldiers on the Western Front often notice [need to clarify]. Today's political cartoonists often depict soldiers hunched down to achieve comic effect, while some cartoons show that officers are bound by their subordinates when they survive, which is uncomfortable, but is considered necessary and imposed.

In modern times, men began to wear belts in the 1920s as the waistline of their trousers dropped. Before the 1920s, belts were mainly used for decorative purposes and were associated with the military. And before that, pants didn't even have belt loops. As a sportswear, pants with a belt loop have appeared in the 19th century. Nowadays, it's common for men to wear pants with belts. In the United States, the military should fasten the seat belt tightly when dressing or checking to convey the impression of health and discipline. Since 1989, the U.S. military has relaxed the safety belt tightening standards in normal duty and non duty activities to prevent the harmful effects of excessive abdominal contraction for a long time.
