Chevrolet Camaro is an American car produced by Chevrolet. It is classified as a pony car, and some are also called muscle cars. It was sold on September 29, 1966 on the 1966 model, and was designed as a Ford Mustang bidding model. The vehicle shares the platform and major components with the Pontiac Firebird, which was launched in 1967.

Four different generations of Camaro were developed before it was discontinued in 2002. The nameplate was revived on a concept car that evolved into the fifth generation Camaro. Production began on March 16, 2009.
