Lime (from France, from Arabic? Ma, from Persian l? M?, "lemon") is a hybrid citrus fruit, usually round, lemon green, 3 – 6 cm (1.2 – 2.4 in) in diameter, and containing acid juice sacs. There are several citrus trees whose fruits are called limes, including citrus aurantifolia, Persian lime, African Black Lime and desert lime.
