Peach is a kind of deciduous tree, which originated in Northwest China. It is located between Tarim Basin and North Slope of Kunlun mountain. It was first planted here. It comes with an edible juicy fruit called a peach or nectarine.

The specific Persian language refers to the extensive cultivation of Persia in Persia, which was later transplanted to Europe. It belongs to the genus Prunus, including cherry, apricot, almond and plum in the rose family. Peaches are classified together with almonds in the subgenus amygdala, which is distinguished from another subgenus by wavy seed shells.

Peaches and nectarines are the same species, even though they are considered different fruits commercially. In contrast to peaches, which show typical fuzziness on the skin, nectarines are characterized by the absence of a cuticle (a fuzziness free fruit). Genetic studies have shown that nectarines are produced by recessive alleles, while peaches are produced by dominant alleles for skin blur.
