Lime

Lime (from France, from Arabic? Ma, from Persian l? M?, "lemon") is a hybrid citrus fruit, usually round, lemon green, 3 – 6 cm (1.2 – 2.4 in) in diameter, and containing acid juice sacs. There are several citrus trees whose fruits are called limes, including citrus aurantifolia, Persian lime, African Black Lime and desert lime. Lime is an excellent source of vitamin C and is often used to emphasize the flavor of food and drink. They are growing all year round. Plants with fruits are called "limes" and have many genetic origins. Limes do not form a single group.

The content of sugar and acid in lime is higher than that in lemon.

Lime juice can be extracted from fresh limes or purchased from bottles without sugar or sugar. Lime juice is used to make lime juice and is an ingredient (usually a sour mixture) in many cocktails.
