Dart is a kind of throwing movement, which throws small missiles onto the round darts fixed on the wall. [2] Although various board and rules have been used in the past, the term "dart" now generally refers to standardized games involving specific board designs and rule sets. Darts is not only a professional competitive sport, but also a traditional bar game, usually used in the UK and Ireland, the Commonwealth, the Netherlands, Germany, Scandinavian countries, the United States and other regions.
Darts were used in war in ancient history. The Raiders used darts of different sizes, similar to miniature javelins. It is the practice of this skill that develops into a skill game. Before the first World War, British pubs used darts made of hardwood (usually ELM). They have to be soaked all night to fix the holes in darts. Although darts is a popular game, it's a hassle for public cows. When a company named nodor changed, its main business was to make clay models (no smell, so it was named nodor) and began to produce clay darts in 1923. The clay dart was never popular, and nodor turned to making traditional elm darts. It was very popular at that time. Before someone put forward the idea of making darts with hundred year old plants, their dart model was not a great success. Tie small bundles of sisal fibers of the same length together. The bundle is then compressed into a disc and tied with a metal ring. It's a quick success because darts do little or no damage to the boards - they separate the fibers as they enter the boards. This type of plate is more durable and requires little maintenance.
High quality dart boards are made of sisal fiber; cheaper boards are sometimes made of cork or roll paper. However, there are several types of sisal fibers used in today's darts. They come from East Africa, Brazil or China. Although it is generally believed that some dart boards are made of bristles, camel hair or horse hair, there is no evidence that these materials have been commercially produced.
The diameter of the adjusting plate is φ 173 to 4 inches (451 mm), which is divided into 20 radial parts. Each part is separated by wire or thin metal lath. The best darts have the thinnest wire, so they have less chance of hitting the wire and bouncing. The numbers indicating the scoring parts of the board are usually also made of wire, especially on boards with game quality. The digital wire ring can be rotated and welded to facilitate the uniform wear of the plate. Low quality boards usually print numbers directly on them.
Recently, some companies have produced electronic darts. These darts have electronic scoring computers that have been pre programmed for a variety of game types. The plate is made of a plastic finish with small holes. The hole tilts outward so that darts with plastic tips stick inside. When the dart hits the board, it contacts the metal plate and tells the computer player where to throw the ball.
Lighting should be arranged to illuminate the darts brightly and to minimize the shadow of throwing darts. The main power supply of the lighting shall be protected against accidental puncture or placed away from the circuit board.
