Scissors

Scissors are hand cutting tools. They consist of a pair of pivoted metal blades so that when the handle (bow) opposite the pivot is closed, the sharp edges slide against each other. Scissors are used to cut various thin materials, such as paper, cardboard, foil, cloth, rope and wire. There are all kinds of scissors and scissors for special purposes. Haircuts and kitchen shears are functionally equivalent to scissors, but larger tools are often called scissors. The scissors have a specific blade angle and are very suitable for cutting. Cutting hair with incorrect scissors can cause damage or split hair, or both. Kitchen scissors, also known as kitchen scissors, are used to cut and trim food such as meat.

Modern scissors are usually designed with thermoplastic and rubber composite handles in ergonomics, so that users can apply power or precise grip force.

A pair of scissors consists of two pivoting blades. In low quality scissors, the cutting edge is not particularly sharp. The cutting material is mainly the shearing action between two blades. In high-quality scissors, the blade can be very sharp and can spring up tension - increasing cutting and shearing tension only at the exact point where the blade meets. The movement of the hand (press with the thumb, pull with the finger) increases this tension. An ideal example is a high-quality tailor's scissors or scissors, which need to be able to perfectly cut (rather than simply tear) delicate fabrics such as chiffon and silk.
