The ultimate combat Championship (UFC) is an American mixed martial arts promotion company headquartered in Las Vegas, Nevada, owned and operated by its parent company, William Morris endeavor. It is the world's largest MMA marketing company and has the most advanced fighters on its roster. UFC held activities around the world, displaying 12 weight zones and following the uniform rules of mixed martial arts. As of 2018, UFC has held more than 400 activities. Dana white is president of UFC. White has been in this position since 2001. Under his leadership, UFC has grown into a global popular multi billion dollar enterprise.

The first competition was held in 1993 at mcnichols stadium in Denver, Colorado. The goal of the early Ultimate Fighting Championships was to compete in boxing, Brazilian jujitsu, Sambo, wrestling, Thai boxing, karate, and judo. In the subsequent events, soldiers began to use effective techniques from multiple disciplines, which indirectly helped to create a completely independent fighting style, i.e. today's mixed martial arts. In 2016, zuffa, the parent company of UFC, sold to the group led by William Morris endeavor (wme-img) for us $4.025 billion.

With the development of TV trading, as well as the expansion of new markets in Australia, Asia, Europe and the United States, the popularity of UFC is increasing, and the coverage of mainstream media is also increasing. The promotion generated $609 million in total revenue in 2015, and its next domestic media copyright agreement with ESPN was worth $1.5 billion over five years.

Although UFC used the slogan "no rules" in the early 1990s, its behavior was actually limited. It prohibits biting people and eye, and allows techniques such as galling, overhead, groin and fishhook.

In the UFC 4 qualifying, competitors Jason fairn and guy Mezger agreed not to pluck their hair - because they both tied the game with their ponytails. In the same match, Keith Hackney and Joe son fought each other, and Hackney shot his son in the groin on the ground.

UFC enjoys a high reputation in a particularly violent event, especially in the early days, when the UFC 5 broadcast started, the disclaimer proved the violent nature of the sport and warned the audience.

UFC 5 also launched its first singles competition, which was a rematch of the first UFC. Three time champions Royce Gracie and Ken Shamrock were called "super fight". This has proved to be an important development, as singles are characterized by fighters who, unlike the competition, have not been harmed by previous battles in the same event. In the next few years, singles competition will become the main content of UFC.

"Super fight" starts as a non championship competition, it will determine the first UFC champion to let the championship winner face. Later, it evolved to include a match with or without a title match. "Super fight" will eventually eliminate the championship. Sponsored by UFC Brazil, UFC gave up the whole singles competition (except for a UFC Japan competition attended by Japanese soldiers). UFC 6 is the first event led by Ken shamrock, the first non competition UFC champion.

The current rules for the ultimate tournament were originally set by the new jersey sports control board. A New Jersey set of uniform rules for mixed martial arts has been adopted in other states that regulate mixed martial arts, including Nevada, Louisiana and California. These rules are also used in many other promotions in the United States, and they are mandatory for states that have adopted them, so they have become the de facto standard set of rules for professional mixed martial arts across the country.

UFC competes in an octahedral enclosure, officially named "octagonal.". Initially, SEG branded the concept and terminology and prevented other mixed martial arts promotions from using the same type of cage, but in 2001 zuffa allowed other promotions to use octagonal cages on the grounds that young sports needed unity to continue to win official sanctions. Today, zuffa retains the proprietary name "octagon.".

UFC cage is octagonal structure, the wall of its metal chain fence is coated with black vinyl. Standard octagons have a diameter of 30 feet (9.1 m) and a height fence of 6 feet (1.8 m). The cage is located above the platform, 4 feet (1.2 m) above the ground. It has foam filling around the top of the fence and between the eight parts. It also has two opposite gates. Mats with sponsor logos and artwork will be replaced at each event.

For smaller venues and activities, ufcs often use smaller cages, which are only 25 feet (7.6 m) wide.

The ten points system must be effective for all UFC battles; three judges score in each round, and the winner gets 10 points, while the loser gets 9 points or less (although in rare cases, the judge thinks that each round is too close to give a fighter 10 points, while the judge thinks that the score is 10 to 10 points, and the other 9.) the advantage round usually scores 10-8, and the higher score is less. 10 – 7 hair is very rare.
