Lee is known for his professional name as Bruce Lee, a Hong Kong American actor, film director, martial artist, philosopher and martial arts founder Jeet kunedo. Li is the son of Guangdong opera star Li Kaiquan. Commentators, critics, the media and other martial artists generally believe that he is one of the most influential martial artists in history and a pop culture icon in the 20th century. He is often praised for helping to change the way Asians are shown in American films.

Lee was born in San Francisco's Chinatown on November 27, 1940. His father was a Hong Kong man. He grew up in Kowloon, Hong Kong, with his family until he was a teenager. His father introduced him to the film industry and appeared in several films as a child actor. Li moved to the United States at the age of 18 and received a higher education at the University of Washington in Seattle, during which time he began to teach martial arts. His films in Hong Kong and Hollywood raised the traditional Hong Kong martial arts films to a new level of popularity, which inspired the western interest in Chinese martial arts in the 1970s. The direction and tone of his films have changed and influenced martial arts and martial arts films in the United States, Hong Kong and the rest of the world.

He is famous for five long films: Rowe's big boss (1971) and JingWuMen (1972); Lee's dragon road of Jiahe (1972). Robert close's "Golden Harvest" and "the Warner Brothers' dragon" (1973) and "game of death" (1978). When Li portrays Chinese nationalism in his films, he has become a world-famous landmark, especially among Chinese people. He received the training of Yongchun boxing art. Later, in the spirit of his personal martial arts philosophy, he combined with other influences from various channels, which he called "Jeet Kune Do". Li has dual nationality in Hong Kong and the United States. He died on July 20, 1973, at the age of 32, in Kowloon Tong.
