Ernesto "Che" Guevara was a Marxist revolutionary, physician, writer, guerrilla leader, diplomat and military theorist in Argentina from June 14, 1928 to October 9, 1967. He is the main figure of the Cuban revolution, and his stylized face has become a popular counter culture symbol of rebellion and global symbol.

As a young medical student, Guevara traveled through South America, radicalized by the poverty, hunger and disease he saw. His eagerness to help overthrow what he saw as the exploitation of Latin America by American capitalism prompted him to participate in President Jacob? Social reform in Guatemala, led by rbenz, Jacob? Rbenz was eventually helped by the CIA to overthrow the political power ideology of Guevara. Later, in Mexico City, he met RA? l) And Fidel Castro, who took part in their July 26 campaign, sailed to Cuba on Granma, a yacht designed to overthrow the US backed Cuban dictator Fulgencio Batista. Guevara quickly gained the upper hand among the insurgents, was promoted to second in command, and played a key role in the two-year victory over the Batista regime in guerrilla warfare.

After the Cuban revolution, Guevara played many key roles in the new government. These include a review of appeals and the dismissal of teams of people convicted of war crimes during the revolutionary courts, land reform as Minister of industry, helping to spearhead a successful literacy campaign across the country, serving as president of the National Bank and director of the Cuban armed forces, and representing Cuban socialism as a diplomat across the globe. These positions also gave him a central role in the training of militias to repel the bay of Pigs invasion and in bringing Soviet nuclear ballistic missiles to Cuba, which led to the 1962 Cuban missile crisis. In addition, he is a prolific writer and diary writer, writing a pioneering manual on guerrilla warfare and a best-selling memoir of his young journey to continental motorcycles. His experience and study of Marxism Leninism led him to believe that the underdevelopment and dependence of the third world are the internal result of imperialism, Neo colonialism and monopoly capitalism, and that the only remedy is proletarian internationalism and world revolution. Guevara left Cuba in 1965 to launch a revolution abroad, first in kongshasa, then in Bolivia, but without success, where he was captured and executed by Bolivian forces assisted by the CIA.

Guevara is not only a respected historical figure, but also polarized in the collective imagination of numerous biographies, memoirs, essays, documentaries, songs and films. He has developed into a typical representative of all kinds of left movements because of his pereved way, the poetic call for class struggle and his desire to create a "new man" driven by moral rather than material motives. Time magazine named him one of the 100 most influential people in the 20th century, while the University of Maryland School of art named his picture of Alberto Korda guerrillero heroico (pictured) as "the most famous picture in the world" by "Maryland Academy of art".
