Macbook

MacBook is a brand of notebook computers manufactured by Apple Inc. from May 2006 to February 2012, which was re launched in 2015. It replaces the iBook series and the 12 inch powerbook series laptops as part of Apple Intel's transition from PowerPC. MacBook is positioned as the low-end product of the MacBook series. Under the high-end ultra portable MacBook Air and powerful MacBook Pro, it is positioned in the consumer and education market. It's the best-selling Macintosh ever. In the five months of 2008, it was the best-selling laptop of all brands in U.S. retail stores. In general, the MacBook brand is "the best-selling advanced notebook product line in the world".

MacBook has four separate designs. The original model used a combination of polycarbonate and fiberglass shell, which was modeled according to iBook G4. The second was launched in October 2008 with the 15 inch MacBook Pro; the MacBook shares an integral aluminum case for more expensive laptops, but omits FireWire. The third design, launched in late 2009, features a polycarbonate integrated housing.

MacBook was discontinued on July 20, 2011 for consumer purchase as it has been replaced by a lower entry price MacBook Air. Apple sold the MacBook to educational institutions until February 2012.

The new redesigned MacBook collection was launched on March 9, 2015. It comes in silver, gold or dark grey, thinner than the MacBook Air, and removes the traditional MagSafe charging port (and all other ports except the headphone jack). Multi purpose usb-c port. It also has a retina display. On April 19, 2016, apple updated the 12 inch retina MacBook with the new 6th generation Intel Core m processor, longer battery life and rose gold options. On June 5, 2017, macbook also obtained the seventh generation intel core processor and the second generation butterfly keyboard, which made its debut on MacBook Pro for the first time.
