Duck

Duck is the common name of many species in the family Anatidae, including Swan and goose. Ducks are divided into several subfamilies of the family Anatidae. They do not represent a single species group (a group of all offspring of a single common ancestor species) but a taxon, because swans and geese are not considered ducks. Ducks are mostly aquatic birds, mostly smaller than swans and geese, and can be found in fresh and sea water.

Sometimes ducks are confused with several types of unrelated waterfowl (such as lazy or diver, grib, chicken gall and white bone chicken).

Ducks use a variety of food sources, such as grass, aquatic plants, fish, insects, small amphibians, worms and small mollusks.

The depth that a wading duck can reach by feeding on water or land, or by bumping upward without being completely submerged. [3] Along the edge of the beak is a comb like structure called pectin. This filters the water from the beak side and catches any food. Pectin can also be used to decorate feathers and keep food smooth.
